After TS Debbie fizzled out last week far off the coast off North America, we started to set our sights on the 20 degree latitude for more action. Low and behold, TS Ernesto pops up and is heading toward Florida on a slight NW orientation. Although the season has been much slower to develop strong storms compared to the record year of 2005, we are still anticipating a cat 3 or 4 for the middle of September during the ESA National off the Outer Banks of North Carolina...

Here is what the National Hurricane Center has to say about TS Ernesto.
A TROPICAL STORM WARNING AND A HURRICANE WATCH REMAIN IN EFFECT FROM
NEW SMYRNA BEACH SOUTHWARD ON THE FLORIDA EAST COAST...More
We wish safe harbor from the storm. Be safe our friends of Florida and Georgia!
Stay tuned,
Max
